      A golden Goldfinch wearing an ebony mask is like a golden bandit that suddenly landed on your windowsill. The sensual form was sculpted by Weston Neil Andersen and slip cast in red stoneware before being hand finished in our Maine studio. The ceramic Goldfinch is 3.5 inches tall.

      Sunlight landing on our ceramic Goldfinch highlights the plump form and sensuous curves. The wings lift upward and then fall downward on a sloping plane meeting the crossed feathers of the tail. Ebony glaze contrasts with a brilliant yellow. The eyes are dark like a bandit and the beak is short and wide on a turning head. The Stoneware Goldfinch is slip cast in red stoneware and hand glazed by American artisans.
